Project Brief: The Internal Lining of 2 No. Stainless Steel, Cylindrical Water Retaining Structures
System Specification: Solvent Free Polyurethane

2 No. stainless steel, cylindrical, water retaining structures located externally within the grounds of the new plant on the outskirts of the location. Each structure is sized at approximately 3.8m diameter x 4.1m high and are positioned fairly close to each other. The manway access is approximately 500mm long x 400mm high.
Internal surfaces of the tanks prior to any work commencing.
The internal substrate of each Tank after being prepared by COVAC Operatives utilizing dry abrasive blasting equipment in accordance with Swedish Standard SA 2.5 BS7079 Part A1 1989.
All seams and intricate areas were initially ‘stripe coated’ prior to the first full coat. Here the substrates receive the 1st full coat of Solvent Free Polyurethane.
All intricate areas were again ‘stripe coated’ for a second time. The following photographs show the final application of the 2nd coat of Solvent Free Polyurethane.
