Bunds & Secondary Containment - Case Study

1 No. Concrete Chemical Bund sized at approximately 12.6m x 3.6m x 0.4m

The bund is located in the water treatment building which house vessels that contain the following chemicals:-
Sulphiric Acid 35%
Polyaluminium Chloride 10%
Sodium Hydroxide Caustic Soda 32%

The concrete bund had been attacked & eroded due to chemical spillage and the requirement was to coat the internals of the bund with a chemical resistant coating system capable of offering long term protection. After preparation, sealing and coating, COVAC issued a ten year guarantee to the Client with an option to extend the guarantee after ten years.
